Bret Myers Hit Hard in Loss to Yankees

by @ 3:50 am. Filed under 2006 Season

By the end of only half an inning, the Phillies were down 4-0.  Bret Myers calmed down to finish his three innings, but the Phillies never recovered as they droped to 5-3 in spring competition.  Prospect Gio Gonzalez, who will most likely start the season in the minors, was also hit hard in his inning of work.  He gave up three runs on four hits and a walk.   The Phillies take on the Red Sox this afternoon and Cory Lidle will get the start.

This is a nice column on Phillies prospects Chris Coste and Shawn Garrett.
