I guess Jimmy Rollins can’t do it all. He went two for four with two homeruns and three RBIs as he pretty much was the Phillies offense. It’s just unfortunate that nobody else could get things going as the Phillies lost 5-3.
Jamie Moyer took the loss. He gave up four runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts in six innings. Clay Condrey was also touched up for a run in relief.
So the 2-7 Phillies are once again kept out of the cellar by the truly horrible Nationals. Next up is three against Houston with a great matchup tomorrow. Bret Myers will face off against Roy Oswalt in a battle of aces.
