Saturday the Phillies beat the Braves, or should I say Chipper Jones, 6-2. Jones hit a 2-run homerun in the bottom of the 6th inning to then tie the game at 2. Those would be the Braves only runs in the game. Thankfully 2-run 8th and 9th innings for the Phillies cemented the victory.
Pat Burrell, Carlos Ruiz, and Jimmy Rollins all went deep in the game. Rollins hit his in the 9th, while it was Burrell’s 15th on the season. The Phillies are still barely in front of the Marlins for the league lead in homeruns. I would like to point out that this game was in Atlanta so the theory that they only hit them in CBP is crap.
